Company Statement on COVID-19 Outbreak and the Reliable Supply of Products/Services for Customers (March 12, 2020)

Dear Customers,

We provide you with an update on our response to the COVID-19 outbreak.  voestalpine is closely monitoring the status of the outbreak and its potential adverse impact on supply chain continuity in the metals and coatings industry.

As the number of cases continues to escalate internationally and domestically, voestalpine is taking additional preventive measures such as site entry restrictions, work-from-home options, and staggered staffing schedules to stop the potential spread of the disease within our North America locations. In addition, we have implemented a travel ban in accordance with WHO recommendations (https://www.who.int/news-room/articles-detail/updated-who-recommendations-for-international-traffic-in-relation-to-covid-19-outbreak).

The health and safety of our employees is paramount and we are complying with all requirements and best practices associated with our warehouses and offices in order to continue our operations. voestalpine’s warehouses in North America are fully operational and we will notify our customers if otherwise.   Please be advised that future government restrictions and/or limited availability of transportation may cause some delays in the supply chain.

voestalpine is communicating regularly with our suppliers for an updated status information and we will keep our valued customers informed of any changes that may impact delivery of products within North America.
